Also known as "rubbing off," taking a pattern from an existing piece of clothing is an incredibly useful technique. Maybe you have a pair of trousers that brings out the best in your bottom; committing its seam lines to paper will enable you to make pants that fit just as well. There are many ways to take a pattern from an existing item of clothing, and this is my go-to method. We’ll be tracing the pattern directly onto paper and you don’t have to take your garment apart at the seams. Let's start with a blouse!
